Stewardship
Stewardship: our relationship with God as a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God’s gifts and shares those gifts in love of God and neighbors.
Stewardship involves three components: prayer, service and sharing
Goals of the committee:
1. To help our parish grow in understanding stewardship and lead them to a stewardship way of life.
2. To nurture both personal prayer and parish worship.
3. To foster compassionate service within the parish and surrounding community.
4. To promote greater levels of material and financial sharing by the parish, households and individuals.
5. To recognize the gifts we’ve been given and to give back.
Stewards, according to the pastoral letter, Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response, do four things:
• Receive God’s gifts gratefully
• Nurture God’s gifts responsibly
• Share God’s gifts justly and charitably
• Return those gifts to God abundantly
